Hey, I'm Kira! I'm the face behind Shift Style and your go-to resource for all things wardrobe and styling. I've been immersed in the world of fashion and style from my earliest childhood and I've been non-stop dressing things ever since -- from friends and family, to place settings and parties. I grew up in fashion, with parents who founded and ran a slew of apparel businesses, and I've had the opportunity to witness the power of personal style first-hand. I've carried this passion with me my entire life and have been compelled to share it as long as I can remember.
Fresh out of college, this led me straight to New York, where I cut my teeth on a buying team for Ralph Lauren. I worked alongside some of the most incredible talent and learned a tremendous amount. My experience at Ralph Lauren taught me about the power of a focused aesthetic and the importance of meeting style needs on a global scale. While working there, I was presented with the opportunity for an even more hands-on role, as Creative Producer for Blossoms Events -- a traveling event design and production based in South Carolina. Despite my deep appreciation for my job and my love for NYC, I jumped at the opportunity to indulge my southern roots and penchant for design. And, looking back, I'm so glad I did.
Both of these roles enabled me to work side-by-side with the most insane talent and with some seriously awesome clients (think founder/creator of Goop). These opportunities have equipped me with such a wide range of experience in meeting design needs and solving style challenges. And in each project and experience, I've grown even more persuaded of the power you tap into when leveraging the language of style. It's been a wild ride that has led me to Shift Style, one that fills me with gratitude. This endeavor is the gift that keeps on giving and I'm so honored to share it with you.
